Why we're starting a newsletter

Most of what's on the site changes every few minutes, which is great if you check it often and not much use if you don't. A short email once the week is done seemed like the obvious answer to that, because the things that really matter for savers, like whether inflation is still running ahead of what cash pays, don't change hourly anyway, and it's easier to see the trend when someone has pulled the week together for you.

We also wanted a way to tell people when something new goes up without asking them to make an account. Sign-ups are open now so that the list is ready when the first issue goes out, and until then you can already see everything it will draw on, on the markets dashboard and the inflation tracker, both of which are free and need no login.

Newsletter questions

When will the first issue arrive?

We haven't set a date for it yet, so we won't guess at one here. What we can say is that sign-ups are open now and you won't miss the first one if your email is on the list, because that's who it goes to. In the meantime the daily market wraps on the briefs page are published every evening after the US close, so if you want something to read now that's the closest thing to it.

Is it really free, and what happens to my email address?

Yes, the newsletter is free. Your address is collected by the form on this page, which is handled by Netlify, the service that hosts the site, and we use it to send the newsletter, research updates and news about new tools. As the privacy policy says, we don't sell, rent or trade it to third-party marketers. If you change your mind, every email will have a one-click unsubscribe link, or you can email info@outsmartmoney.ai and ask us to take you off the list.

Will the newsletter tell me what to invest in?

No. It'll cover what markets, inflation and money supply did, with the numbers and some context about why they matter for savings, but it won't tell anyone what to buy or sell, for the same reason nothing else on the site does: we don't know your situation, and we're not regulated to give advice. Think of it as the research and data from the site, gathered up once a week, with the decisions left to you.
